If it's seamless, then I would even try to implement broader mic input and audio output coverage in the house. I would rather have the FireTV do all this because it's always on and plugged in the same spot in my home. It may sound too futuristic using existing technology, but It's possible since I've done this already with a jailbroken iPhone using Siri, Acute (always-on voice triggering), Activator (custom actions tied to custom triggers) and ActivateCommand (custom terminal commands/scripting that interfaces to Activator ). I can yell anytime in the house and it would control most of the network connected appliances in the house like turning in my lights (Phillips Hue), or lowering the temperature (Nest Thermostat) much like an always on Siri, but with more control over external networked devices. I.e: voice activated remote for, but not limited to FireTV/XBMC. I would assign custom commands to it afterwards, so it can be more versatile. ![]() I would want to connect an external microphone for it (Bluetooth or USB), and since my FireTV is always on, I can talk to it anytime "OK Google" to issue commands. Is it possible to have Google Now Launcher to work with the FireTV? Why? Here's my idea:
