![]() still had the warning though, that the Add-In wasn't trusted so also added C:\Program Files (x86)\Mendeley Desktop\wordPlugin\ as trusted location ( ).But still got the "Run-time error '429' ActiveX component can't create object", so debugged the VBA of the plugin and saw it happened when trying to create the object for the COM server and as describes that can happen with a not properly registered application, found in the Mendely installation folder the MendeleyWordPlugin.exe and did a "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mendeley Desktop\MendeleyWordPlugin.exe /regserver" - after that the plugin starts working for me.so I followed Weixin Huang 's instruction to load the plugin manually. ![]() Installation of Plugin via Mendeley Client is not supported.
